I'll have to give that a shot, I was also thinking of running a seperate power supply to the wire feed, because the feed bogs down when the welder starts taking up the juice and makes it damn near impossible to know what your doing. My dad was a proffesional welder for a while, and he layed down some really nice beads with the HF unit, i was shocked, so i guess there is hope for the old fluxcore HF combo.

Biggest pain with flux core is getting the settings right. Wire speed and voltage play a huge part in it jumping around or burning holes through the metal. Best to just get a gas attachment and run it mig...you'll like the results MUCH more than flux-core.

ive loved my fluxcore. done a few manifolds with it, some body repair, a few setups and lawnmower repairs and truck repairs

---- that dont look to bad.I also found buying some good flux wire instead of the cheap ---- I was using made a big improvement.

Look at the flash isnt goin to make you blind, are you one of those kids whose moms didnt want them to play football Im gonna guess yes. Im retarded when I weld and get very impatient and half of the time dont even have my welding helmet down and my vision is perfect but hey you might has well be with the way you weld .
