Nah, your still in the game. The bushings deteriorate on all four corners so they would all need to be done.
How about a source for rod ends which actually use a bushing (polyurethane, rubber, etc.) and steel sleeve instead of a spherical bearing? If I can locate the correct size I may have a solution to this old cars suspension woes.

You can actually get solid polyurethane in several harnesses at mcmaster, and I'd bet a dollar from JD's pocket that they sell delrin too. ----, the sell everything besides the kitchen sink. Actually, they probably do, I never checked.
I'd suggest altering the mounting points so use a diff. arm design. Easier to make a different style arm [proven to work] attach to altered mounts than redesign the wheel per se. Its much harder to ---- up mounting points than arms. Unproven arms are also harder to find out what forces are being applied, altered mounts are fixed so they're easier to figure out. In short, think outside the box - whole suspension redesign FTW

Damn that's a beautiful avatar :P
I understand what you mean about the mounting points but I still need to locate rod ends (comparable in size to the heims one would use) with a urethane insert and metal sleeve so the ride isn't super darn harsh. It will cut down on some of the noise as well. My car is already loud enough with the exhaust exiting in front of the pass. rear wheel.
Any leads. I found one company but they had discontinued them. They have to be out there somewhere but I'm having one hell of a time.

These guys sell poly upper control arm bushings. And they have a distributor in the states.
Do you have any pics of the setup on you're 'Lude? I have an 89 2.0Si I'm piecing together a setup for.
