you can do better in tight spaces with a mig? dont think so.... those are solid welds on some thick *** metal... just because its not pretty tig welds doesn't mean it wont hold

 

He only welded the wastegate flange and downpipe. Why dont you post up some of your own work so we can judge your welds.

 

tight spaces? get a rope idiot. thats about as open a space as youll ever weld,. especially that downpipe.
