My father had overheating problem too with his 350. He put an electric fan and the problem is gone. (almost gone) Maybe its the same fan as yours because he have a dc controler too and pushing a lot of cfm :o

New member here driving a 2001 GMC C3 with a h/o 6.0. Very similar engine i beleive only a part or two difference and some computer tuning. I'm looking at installing a rear mount turbo running 4-6 PSI. What kind of turbo will you be running, and at what kind of PSI? Like the rust on the car it makes it that much more of a sleeper so you can surpise the crap out of some 4-cyl import with $5,000 in paint alone.

For a rear mount alot of the ls1tech guys are running the t67 I can't remember what a/r though. I know the guys sporting the t76 on stock long block/cam/springs use the .81a/r. Spools a bit quicker and doesn't require the exhaust piping to get warm for quicker spool nearly as bad as the .96 a/r.

Your best bet seeing how I havn't researced rear mounts a lot... is to go to the forced induction section of ls1tech. There are rear mount guys in the 1000rwhp range!!!

Why? Because its cheaper and more efficient to manually shift my 80e.

I managed to get all of the injector clips converted over to ls1 car style for the motron 60lb injectors.
Attachment 20038

Also got the harness/car converted from MAF to Speed Density. IAT is now wired in and have the fast log IAT sensor.
Attachment 20039

Got my metal order in from Racing Solutions.
Attachment 20040

I got some of the drivers side hot side down today. Tacked up.

The only reason I ask was, well why would you want a auto :-\? Ok I can see if it was a drag only car and had a trans break.

Why? Price out a half decent clutch and tranny that will take 500rwhp+. Now I can fully manually shift my tranny(ratched shifter). The car runs insanely ------- hard and consistant. The tranny holds whatever gear I want it to, and also has engine braking.

I like a stick in my civic becauase its slow and it feels "quick" when I abuse the ---- out of it. The chevelle is a competely different feeling. Its a "hold the ---- on" and keep it on the road feeling. Its hard to explain. I prefer a manually shifted auto in this chevelle vs a standard.

I'd let you drive the car to get the feeling but thats a fair jont to do so;)
