that corvair looks bitchin, almost makes me want to do it. then i realize im a lazy ---- and it took that guy like 4 weeks.

any paint job can look good with good coverage of the car, lots of sanding and, clear coat and a good pollish.

i have done it before and it looks ok, i didnt really do any prep work because i hate sanding but here is a thread from another forum i am on

cut it with a buffing wax (get a buffer, and some 3m hand buff compound, or any buffing compound), after paint had cured for several days, after you wash it. then use a good sealer wax to finish it. ardex express! is an excellent smooth as glass finish wax, and lasts quite long

Try 20 dollar paint job. Single stage satin black FTW. I also know how to spray though. And used a DeVilbiss gun.

if you're going to use a spray gun (hvlp for example) thin it down, paint it in several coats. don't go for the all in one coat, youll be glad
