Why not just take a big thick plate of steel, machine some rough holes in it, deck it, then bolt the flange up? I know weiR has the tools, and could get away with much more welding per pass.

All this project needs now is a nice, wholesome naked lady with big ***** in the driver's seat. That would make me wetter than a 12yr old meeting justing timberlake.

This won't really work if you want to weld on the INSIDE of the ports- I mean, you maybe could mille huge, port-sized access holes and try to weld down inside there, but it's not any more practical. But yeah, for welding the outside a thick piece of aluminum is good.

What is debatable is if you need to weld the inside or not...
