ive figured that since i cant seem to find a good brand name dump pipe for my RB20, im most likely going HMT style. im in the process of sourcing out gaskets for flanges, so im not that far away from undertaking this project. does anyone know if 16G piping is good enough for a dump pipe? im planning on running around 350WHP, so its going to be put through alot of stress at the same time.

it should be fine. is it just going to be an open dump? depending on how long it is, you may want to support the end of it where it dumps out.

i figure its going to be a 3 inch dump pipe that goes to the rest of the exhaust system, and a 1.5 inch wastegate dump that is vented to the atmosphere.

im working on getting gaskets for the turbo though since thats going to determine how big of a piping size i can use

3in. dumptube! holy ----, you mean downpipe? I use those 2ft. exhaust sections at the auto parts store and do pie cuts to make downpipes so far they have been 2.5in. would like to do a 3in. where are you getting the metal its hard to find bigger than 2.5in.
