easy.

1 go to shops, get 2 of 1/2" bolts (cheaper the better, get em long too...)
2 screw into heim, cut off heads flush with top of heim,
3 put 1/8"chamfer around newly cut bolt (for weld channel...)
4 plug weld them in, both ends.
5 drill / tap m12 straight down through the bolts
6 done, beer time.

ended up boring out some 1/2 in hydraulic tube and used it as a bushing between the M12 and the 1/2in hardware. haha

This one is easy. I would first say to use a metric heim, but find swaged tubing in m12 is damn near impossible. Also if you ever need anything www.mcmaster.com is the bible.

Second, I did a bit of conversion and the gap your looking to make up is .7mm or .0275". What you need is a piece of pipe or tube with a wall thickness of .0275. Your likely to find thin copper or aluminum piping with those specs. Just cut yourself a small piece and slip it over the bolt. Problem solved. I had to do the same when my shocks had some play while trying to put them into the forks, it was just a little bigger..
