i used the plenum which is essentialy the same as using the vacuum port on all 4 throttle bodies. the difference is by using the intake plenum you can use a larger diameter vacuum hose. i bought a hose barb with 1/8npt fitting and screwed it into the intake plenum.

got to the bottom of the boost problems...whent to the dyno on monday and it highlighted a few isues which i have sorted now.
the first thing was the uncontrollable boost needle.i tried everything.it turned out to be a boost leak at the bov.the more boost it made the more it would leak causing an unsteady air flow to the tb,s which made the needle wobble a lot.
next there was some smoke on overrun and a bit of oil weeping from the compressor..a smaller restrictor.1.2 mm.. in the oil line sorted that out.when i took the compressor housing off the gasket was shafted which might have caused a bit of boost leakage too. a new gasket has now been fitted.
to top it all off the water injection whent tits up on the dyno aswell ,that was only a failed hobbs switch which is now on order.because there was no w/i i couldnt run anymore than 6.5 psi.it made 219.9 bhp at the wheel tho which i am very happy with.i am very confident that once the w/i is working it would easily make 240 at 8 to 9 psi..shame i couldnt do it on the dyno eh..8)

congrats on the run and getting it sorted out. personnally i think 6.5 psi is more than enough.

after some local riding and with ear plugs in to filter out some background noise i noticed some det that begins at 6 psi . the water inj wont make it go away either..i now have no choice but to run 5 psi which isnt the end of the world cos there is no noticeable loss in torqque and it still pulls like a freight train to the redline. the track day is next friday and i feel at last it is ready to take a thrashing..i will post a vid of some track action

there are mixed thoughts on the track day.we had a great weekend.bit of a road trip and a good laugh with some beers while camping the day before. on the saturday morning we gutted to see it was raining which could have ruined the day.on my first lap in the first session and in very wet conditions my cam chain tentioner stuck and the chain started to tick like a bitch.luckily it fixed itself on the way back to the pit lane, that sesion was missed.by late morning the sun was out and the track started to dry up. as itgot dryer the pace got faster with some hard braking and cornering.so hard that the wheel touched the rad on the 4th session and gave me a massive coolant leak....game over...
to make it worse there was a camera angle fail and all the footage is of the floor.i will have some pics tho cos there was a pro photographer.i will post them up soon...
i have took the bottom 5 rows of the rad to fix the rub problem and i will be back on the road by the end of the week..oh also bought an ignition module so i can map the timing for more boost..here are some pics ofthe filter down action
