yeah after i posted this i was talking to dave and he suggested that, and i increased it about 8%. Seems to be in the high 10:1 range now, cant tell for sure cause my wastegate stuck open on the way home. stupid 14b flapper. im off to ---- with it some more as soon as i take a healthy ----.

Here is the map I'm working on.

So far it seems pretty decent. I had a nice datalog of it, but it didnt save for some reason, so I'll have to re-do it. (oh no ill have to drive more, hehe). Anyways it looks like I still need to add a bit more up top maybe for safety sake. It starts around 11.6:1 or so when it starts spooling and by 6K rpm or so its in the 12.3:1 range, and by redline around 12.5:1. No noticeable detonation to my ears. I been thinking of ways to incorporate a knock sensor into the user data portion of the zeitronix controller.

yeah, i'd add a little more fuel and try not to go over 12:1 under boost execpt for during the initial tip in to boost. remember, power is made with timing, not .5 leaner afr after you get a good solid afr, do some pulls and check your plugs, keep adding timing in small increments until you notice the slightest sign of detonation on the plugs, then back it down a little. when checking your plugs though, you have to kill the car at the top of a run and then coast to a stop.

yeah i am contemplating geting back in the car and doing another couple pulls to get some datalog to come home and play with. stupid file didn't save right on the last one. grrr...

ok so i went back out. i cant tell if i am hearing detonation or just the dumptube...but the AFR's are safe.

let me know what you think.

you can download the zietronix software to view this file at zeitronix.com

not bad, your inboost fueling is almost right on. Just need to start tapering the fuel out after 6.5ish as the TQ begins to dump.
Hit me on AIM. I changed a few other little things.

will do. i hadnt done any fine tuning yet, this was just increment increasing the fuel by % in big blocks until #'s were close to where they needed to be.

dave raped my map so im gonna try out his version now. he did kinda what i hadn't gotten to yet, which was smoothing ---- out and cleaning up the mess, so i guess i can just move right to fine tuning.

It looks like you have a good tune going from that log...

Quite a bit richer than I am though, I think I might add some more fuel to my maps once I get my car back together.

Just a question. On keebler's page where he talks about tuning he shows what he calls "the golden rule", it says that under boost the AF ratio should target 12.1:1. So that's what I targeted for my tune...

What are the benefits of tuning richer than 12.1:1 while in boost like you did?

Just for reference... here's the last tune I had on my car... I converted the log into excell though and expanded the AF scale so you can really see all of the imperfections...(I'm not trying to hijack your thread, just learn as much as possible)

i still need to lean mine out a bit... im hitting into 11.3 and 11.4:1 in spots, i want to be more like 11.8:1. Running slightly richer like that is nothing more than peace of mind for my ringlands.

too bad its so wet, i want to check out your car. no PIR tonite.

Yeah, I am going to be working on the head gasket tonight and tomorrow...

I need to figure out how to do a step retard for my map... it feels a lot slower since I changed the retard from .75 to 1... I mean, a LOT slower...
