God damn that's a ghetto ass burner. :P

Good luck with that. I always have a hell of a time getting those damn things to work. Last time I checked mine still works so I'm not touching it. :-\

If that jumper wire ---- doesn't work out for you, try ------- with the software a bit. Open ---- and run ---- and restart your computer. That's what I did and it worked. ???

in red are little jumper posts and the green is a little 4 switch thing:

I don't know which jumper in the screen shot is which jumper in the picture. my burner is a 3.1. if it doesn't work after all the checks you listed then I'm going to try to dl a different software from the website and see if that helps.

Sorry couldn't help myself. Have you tried a different chip? It sounds like the first address is bad or missing.

Re:willem chip burner help

I'm pretty sure it's just the jumpers aren't set right and I don't know how to set them. spenser recommended a moates to me, I would have gotten one instead of this, but all I knew about at the time was willem and batronix. if friday rolls around and I still don't have a chip burned I'll sell this one and get a moates.

dude, just find out what sofware is reccomended for the 3.1 and see where to set the jumpers, i'm positive that's your problem. www.willem.org has forums too, ask on there. the willem is great for the price, once you figure it out :P

Use Version 97g of the software, thats what works best. If that still doesnt fix it PM me and i'll dig mine out and check my dip switches.

I read the site and it says set some ---- to standard position, and set this other ---- to position a18 or something. I only speak english and spanglish, none of that normal position or ----.

my software is 97 something, I'll post up what it is next time I feel like burning a chip, hopefully this chip will start my car.
