I get Error :Write sector 0 when I click program chip with my base map selected. I don't have much experience with this stuff so help is greatly appreciated.

i don't know, i have the dual power enhanced and it looks totally different than that. what sw are you using? did you follow these steps?

1) plug in data cable
2) open program
3) put chip in burner
4) power up burner

mine only works if i do it in that order. did you do a hardware test and it says 'hardware present' in the bottom of the sw. do you have to put a jumper wire between pin 3 and 31 like with the enhanced? i don't know, these are just shots in the dark

you put 28 pin chips in flush with the back and leave the front/top ones open, but for my willem, you have to put a jumper between pin 3 and 31 on the burner?? they're pretty ---- burners, but they're dirt cheap and once you figure them out, they're as good as anything. i plugged mine right in and burned, took me a while how to erase the chips properly, but that's another story. my first burn got rid of my cel that i was sporting for 6 mos. that joseph davis cursed me with, every time he reburnt my ud .bin, i had a solid cell, i figured it was my harness or something, well, all gone 6 mos. later :P

pin 3 and 31 on the burner, last time i checked, my 28 pin chips didn't have a 31 pin ;D ;) yeah, anyways, just connect a jumper wire from pin 3 to 31. if you're rotate the picture you posted clockwise, pin 3 is the third down from the upper left corner (where the first pin of the chip is), and pin 31 is the second one down on the upper right hand corner (right after the last pin on the chip)

Re:willem chip burner help

where are your other jumpers on the board, or are there none? my board has jumpers that i have to use for 29c's, they're the yellow highlighted things in the first pic. try using the .97g software, that's what i use. when you put the chip in, do you do an electronic id, blank test, verify, and read the chip (then look in the buffer to make sure theres no data on the chip)? all these things come back positive and you still get an error?
