Most people here won't agree but honestly for low boost the vafc/safc, greddy blue box thing or even a FMU would be fine....but if you plan on making a good amount of power or turning up the boost....get a good system

Wouldn't he have to at least go for the Vafc/Safc with those 450's?

450's don't work to well with the VAFC. You need to have a 3 BAR MAP too.

The VAFC won't be able to take out enough pulse to idle the 450's on the stock MAP sensor.

i disagree!! 450's with an afc should idle fine w/o a bigger map sensor....mine did with no problems and most people that have ran the afc should say the same. you dont need a bigger map sensor for the afc to idle fine with 450's.....thats for sure

You are OBD2, you cant use crome u dumbass, you dont have much of a choice you are most likely going to have to use an AFC or VAFC, if you want to do somthing better than just "retarding the dizzy" you should look into that thing MSD sells, it retards timing per pound of boost.

Isn't the max that you can take out of the pulse with the VAFC 40%. That's going to be really rich. Maybe the O2 correction will care of some more, but it's still going to be rich.

Anyway, I'm gonna go with the S-AFC now and am gonna use RC or Lucas 440cc's. DSM 450's(low impedence) give you bad idle. Screw MSD, i aint paying for something I can do myself

It'll be fine on 8psi. Be sure to always carry a camera in your glove box.
