I got the diy-wb kit. Just finishing it. I had an VX sensor for free so my WB will cost me only 40 CAN by the time I have it running. Hope to finish it later this week. There is a few guys that have this kit. Do search for DIY Wideband, you'll find it

NOD, I have this one as well.. I'm totally digging it. Datalogging, Boost/EGT/RPM/TPS etc etc, its pretty badass unit. and you dont have to buy the display if you have a lpbtop.

I was looking at that one for a while now
I'll probably buy that one and a cheap as laptop for $100...will a 200MHZ laptop do the job?

Oh ya.. ---- it just uses windows 95 and adapts through a serial port. I bet you could use a 486 as long as it had windows95 on it. I have a P2 233 and its just fine.

i bought mine and put it together no problems and i love(d) it. my car is down right now so i haven't had a chance to really test it :-/

How hard was it to put the kit togheter. I heard that it's kinda stressful. From your experience, what are the chances for putting together wrong? Do you think that somebody who is able to chip ecu can put it together with no problem ?

I have quite a bit of experience in electronics so putting this thing together for me was not a problem, but if you take your time and double check all the board layouts with all the components you should be fine.

it's not that bad, just very tedious. Unless you happened to order one when I did, and got a kit out of the shipment of bad PCB's that had micro-shorts all over the god damn board. Anyway, Peter is a good guy if you can ever get a hold of em, and if u ---- it up he has an RMA process he can do for ya ;)

yeah i was part of the group that got a bad pcbs but mine works fine.
i couldnt get it to work initially then i accidently shorted out the heater curciut and bam it worked. :o

wierd little bastard; but i hear its fixed now so you should have no worries about getting a te wideband
