PR4 def ran leaner than the PM6...but that was on Blundar's funky ass NG1/NG2 code.

Full boost tuned to 12.0 on a PR4 ran 11.3 on a PM6...

BIG DIFFERENCE...timing also acts differently, but that's not easily provable without a dyno.

Then I would have to use that NG5 map with my PR4, but then richen it up a little bit or to the desired AFR which is 12:1. When I get that desired afr, I would watch my ETG, at whichever points it start to raise, i would have to start to pull my timing.

The only major concern I have right now is how much to richen up and where to to richen up.

db09.exp should run overly rich in your PR4...make sure you are using the PM7 version of NG5 tho...and make sure your fuel pressure is close to Dave's (55psi). If you are at stock fuel pressure, I'm guessing you will run a touch lean if not very close to Dave.

I don't think I'm understanding what you mean by the pm7 version?
I also downloaded your exp for a boosted b18a from turboedit.org, is that a suitable map? I exported it into the NG5 bin and it exported smoothly, is this map reliable?

No...the export on TurboEdit.org is from an NG1/NG2 version.

Re-read the thread once more...I thought I was pretty clear on the differences between the two ECUs.

PM7 'version' is the code version that doesnt look for ELD sensor (throws a solid CEL in a 90 PR4 ECU...)

*slap myself* yeah, i totally missed that. Here are my last two question, I'm odering my stuffs from moate, but I dont know which chip is the correct chip.
As for tuning, so everytime I want to adjust my table I have to discard the previous chip and put in a new chip? I think i'm ready for tuboedit, i love it already.

Buy 29c256 chips with a 120ms or better speed. These can be reused over and over...wont have to discard them for a while.

What I did when I started was burn 4 versions of a chip. One i thought would work, two that ran richer and one that ran leaner. But only selectively changing a few spots in the maps with every change.
