vacuum tuning
Now I know for sure I had my facts messed up. I thought we only need to creat a table for boost since that is when the ecu is looking at the tables, but while we run vacuum, the ecu would be doing its own thing accordind to it various sensor.
...........so i thought. Vacuum tuning seem much complicated than wot..just my wanna share my thoughts. On another note, does anyboyd have a boosted pr4 bin for TE? I can only find NA bin. |

You are also adjusting the entire vacuum map to 450cc injectors (if thats what your running). Although its mostly a straight forward, a little bit of tweaking is needed.
I retuned a friends car on NG5 today, and of the 2.5hrs spent on it, only about 30mins was on WOT. Doing part throttle is the most time consuming. Having little stumbles and hiccups is annoying, to me atleast. For the most part, closed loop takes care of this and allows for some pretty big margins of error. Do you have any friends w/ a WB that you can use? If not, PM me your entire set-up and expected max boost level, and I can get you up and running. |

the set of maps for NG5 I spent a *long* time tuning are posted on PGMFI. db09.exp was good enough for me to pass a 4-gas sniffer emissions test on, and it also is tuned decently in boost. I use a PM6 not a PR4, however. Chris (xenocron) pretty convincingly demonstrated that the same ROM will produce different AFRs on PM6 vs PR4, even though both will run the code. In other words, be careful.

Chris said PM6 ran his car richer than PR4 I believe.
The PM7 should run fine in PR4 w/ internal PA. |

also, remember the walbro pump with stock FPR will be running higher fuel pressure than stock pump. Still running stock return system.
