Vaccum timing in BRE...
I've been playing around with some basemaps lately, and I cam across something I never took notice of before.
Map #1...this was the basemap I made off a stock b16 pr3 map. The vaccum timing is pretty much the same for n/a maps as well...

The second map is one that I reworked that was posted on Xenocron's .bin library, and was originally tuned by JD.

This map is what I've been running the past few days and seems to run better (and cooler) than the previous map. Only thing that I don't like about it is after my long cruise on the highway home from work, I hit town with it's stoplights and such and the car seems to bog on takeoff. If I hit the throttle down a little harder it'll clear out after a few seconds and runs fine until the next stoplight where it does it again. It kinda sux because I'm tuning half-blind here, only have a narrowband hooked up to a DMM to tell my reading during vaccum and have to rely on reading plugs the rest of the time. There's no knock that I can hear at low rpms with my homedepot cheapo detcan setup, so can anyone clue me in to what's causing this annoying issue?

Ok, after driving home tonight I noticed a couple things. My narrowband sensor is pretty good when it comes to part throttle and vaccum, and the first 20 minutes after I left work the car ran excellent like it usually does. Great throttle response, good fueling at part throttle and just plain peppy. After about 20 minutes or so I noticed the afr reading starting to change, and it seemed like it was starting to bog a little at part throttle. Slight hesitation at first, but the longer I drove the worse the hesitation got. This leads me to believe it's not timing related, but definately on the fuel end. A buddy of mine mentioned maybe my fpr was sticking, but I just don't see how it would take 20 minutes to do so. Only thing I can think of is plugs...I swapped back to the stock "6" heat range instead of keeping the "7" colder plug. Could the plug just be getting too hot after 20 minutes and starting to run it lean so that eventually by the time I get home there's almost no throttle response and massive stuttering?
