USB devices not reading
Anyone ever had an issue while tuning, or before tuning, the ostrich and/or burner won't read on the laptop?
Just the other day I was tuning and all the sudden my laptop doesn't want to read my ostrich(v1). It has been working flawlessly for over a year up until now. I could still log, though. My laptop would have a pop up that said "unrecognized USB device" or something along those lines. I have that auto moates driver installer, so I tried that and still didn't work. THen I go to plug in my other ostrich because I thought perhaps the one I was using took a ----, and no luck. Then I tried my chip burner(burn1) and same thing. "usb device not recognized".
I can't seem to figure it out. When I try to manually install the drivers, it says it can't find any newer/better drivers than it already has, but when I go to the main tab of the properties of the device, it says it doesn't have any drivers.
It's ------- pissing me off and I need my laptop to get my car up and running today.

Re: USB devices not reading
Try:
1) System restore
2) Delete the driver/device under device manager, reboot before you plug it back in. If it doesn't take then look for all the ftdixxx drivers in the \system and \system32 directories and delete them, then try to delete device/reboot again.
