Think of a chip burner like a CD burner. Think of the chip as a CD-R.

Think of Uberdata as Microsoft Word, and think of the .BIN file as a Word Document.

Make the .BIN file with Uberdata (Create a Word Document with Word)

Burn the .BIN file on a chip with chip burner (Burn the Word Document on a blank CD with a CD burner)

If you dont get that...no one can help you

please research! you are looking really stupid right meow!

BURNER: device needed/use to program the chip/install rom editor to.
PUT CHIP INTO ECU: after you researched/ask proper questions/read the engine management section/or go to www.ecimulti.org/uberdata, and learn about what you need to chip your ecu, go to www.moates.net and order a BURN1 burner, and order uberdata chipping supplies... research a lot, you NEED IT.

i wasn't trying to sound like a dick (i just realized i kind of did), but this is very basic stuff, the first things you need to know, it's kind of like saying i want a turbo'd car, but don't know what a turbo is. you have to modify (socket) your ecu to accept the external 28 pin eprom chips. once you have done that, you need a chip burner to burn (program) the 'tune/program/.bin/ whatever you want to call it' that you created in uberdata/turbo edit/etc., once you have the chip programmed, you place it in the ecu.

i get how to do everything. i just dont know how you get the data from the .bin files onto the chip...thats it!i know you cant just put it next to the computer screen and it zaps right onto the chip. i am sure that you have to have some kind of connection to the chip to get that information onto the chip. how do i do that.

you load it in to the chip burner software, the chip burner then loads the binary data on to the chip.

Okay man seriously... listen, and comprehend.

Buy a chip burner. You need one. But a Batronix, a Moates, or a Willem, doesn't matter. Personal preference. there are lots of writeups on which one people prefer and which one works for them. Do a search on it. then depending on which burner you bought, it will probably come with software to operate said burner. after creating a *.bin file in Uberdata, you can open this same file in the chip burner software, insert a blank chip into the chip burner, and have the burner software write the .bin file to the chip.

i'm out

Oh yeah, and to learn how to chip your ecu, go here:

http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/Library/WebHome

read read read, till you're sick of reading, and then read some more. You'll get it.
