Default uberdata features?

Is Uberdata able to datalog with just the program on the lap top or do you need to first Burn a chip for the ecu that some how enables the datalogging feature? Also is the uberdata program able to read your A/F ratio or would I need to buy a wideband to figure that out? Thanks alot guys

Also I know that alot of guys are truing to figure out what they will need to hook up the lappy to the ecu for datalogging and such and I found out that a certain Nokia cell phone cable will work just fine but you'll need a driver to get it to work . Which I just happen to have a link to where you can download it right here.... www.ecucontrol.com/nokiadatcable.htm again any help with these questions would be appreciated

check out the link in my signature for everything you need uberdata is nothing more than a program you use to creat a .bin file that you burn on to a chip, it's not a physical device, so yes, you have to have your ecu chipped to run uberdata and be able to data log and what not, and yes, uberdata can data log a/f ratio, but you have to have a wideband, there is no program in the world that can accurately read your a/f without getting a linear wideband signal.

Thanks for the help guys. My P28's already chipped but I wasn't sure if I needed a certain chip that was uberdata friendly or if the one that's in there now would comunicate fine. Also I was just playin around on ebay and found out that it is a.... Nokia DKU-5 USB Data Cable 3100 3200 5100 should be exactly what you'd need to look for on ebay which I see 495 of them for sale right now for $0.01 each,..... and $10.81 shipping of coarse but I figured someone out there would like to know. Thanks again

a lot of people have problems with the usb drivers that you have to install for to use the usb cables, also, you have to solder the wires through the ecu, which isn't exactly the prettiest site, and it's permanently connected to the ecu unless you get creative and make some kind of connection that you can plug the cable up to on the ecu.
