Re: TurboEdit Tuning - EVERYTHING - From Start Up To Finished Street Tune *MAKE
I think the key is beeing patient enough to learn by researching and reading the info out there (especially on pgmfi.og) . Trial and errors might be another learning curve, which can be really dangerious if you didn't do your homework. One thing I found out is "nobody is going to spoon feed you". Start by playing with TE, and do yourself a favor by getting a wideband.

This pretty much explained everything to me this coming from a guy who, several years ago, didn't know how to work a torque wrench.
Good luck finding out what you need.

You wanna know the truth of how you learn to tune. You blow ---- up. Wanna become a good tuner doesnt happen overnight. Take hundreds-thousands of hours of work to get to the point where you can tune and make power safely. I understand hmt is about doin it yourself but there are some things that arent meant for everyone. Hence why tuners charge100+ per hour its called a skill that most people cant achieve. This goes for fabrication, engine building, porting, etc. If it was that easy everyone would do it. I have been building/racing hondas for over 8 years and its my life and how I make income and to be honest I still dont half of what is needed to know so yes pay Chris or another tuner if you want your ---- to run to work and not cry about how turbo hondas blow up.

The link "Mindless" posted does help out alot. You should get a general idea of how it works. I think it is writen pretty good for people who don't know how to tune an engine.
Xenocron: can you fix the link in "Tips for tuning fuel maps on your OBD0 Honda / Acura using TurboEdit" that Mindless posted at the bottem ("timing write-up")?
this is coming from someone who hasn't had any experience in tuning (yet) and is a beginner like yourself Turblow.
