Default Turbocharged VTEC?

I am not sure, i might have asked this before but... Is it a good/bad/pointless thing to put a turbo on a vtec engine? Does the VTEC still do anything? Thank you

Also should i use 450 cc fuel injectors on my F23A Vtec engine when i put the turbo in?

Do i need an FMU for it? If so, does anyone know where to get a cheap one?

Thank you very much for your help

The DOHC VTEC cars get a big jump in power in VTEC when in boost. Especially so if you have cam gears and dial out the cam overlap.

I prefer the non-VTEC engines and boost, but that is my personal opinion and preferrence.

I think your Accord engine would like boost, but asking about 450cc injectors and FMU in the same sentence lets me know you're pretty new to forced induction. I'd like you to pick up Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost" at a book store and read it - it's a good primer for everything you need to know at this point, which is more than can be typed into one post.

If you want bigger injectors you will need something to control them like the v-afc.

I hate to breakl it to all of you but reading the FAQ will not answer his questions on a F23A trust me. I am trying to boost the same engine and i have been trying to get help and i am still trying to solve some issues now. If i go 450's with the AFC hack then according to Joseph i thikn , A BTM will not be the best method for retarding timing. Since my car is so new ther is no chippihng option for me and i jsut need to know if a BTM will be good enough.

you're engines have a knock sensor right? Maybe you can find some way to use it to trick the ECU into retarding more? plus pulling the dizzy back...
I wouldn't be heavily concerned with it, just keep the boost lower.

Why couldn't you just turn the boost retard up to 2 degrees retard per pound or maybe more if needed. I don't see a problem.

thanks i thikn i am going afc or smc depending on what price i can get on them. And how much better is an AFC over a SMC? I mean i know the afc looks much cooler and has more options but are these extra options really very helpful since my engine is vtec. Maybe a v-afc would be much better since my car is vtec.
