I`ve own a willems dual power eprom programmer for 2 years now. I have had NO trouble whatsoever burning Amtel chips. Yeah there is no case for this thing and you have to have half a brain when you set the jumpers - use the same eeproms...set it and forget it . But if you know how to read and know what you are doing they work fine. People who rip on willem burners have no idea what they are doing.

Re: tuning yourself
That's because most people post their problems and few people post their successes... I've seen more posts about Ostrich not working, yet the general consensus is that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I have a dual enhanced burner and it acts up once in awhile, and took awhile to figure out how to get it to work... I used to have to set it up and plug it together in a certain order for it to work. Then I'd have to unplug it and replug it every time I wanted to burn a chip. For some reason, it works pretty consistently now and burning a chip takes 2 minutes tops (from the time I shut the car down, make changes, save, burn, reinstall chip, start car). However, if I could go back, I'd buy the Ostrich.
