Default stoock fule pump

ok so ima run a jk tuning ecu with a base map. but when you oder one from him he ask what fule pump your running . see i dont have the money right now for a 255 pump so can i tell him the stock one and then upgarde to the 255 and have the same base map till i can get tuned?

You need to worry about fuel pressure. Use the search button.

A base map is just that. A base to start with. Your fine as long as you stay out of the boost.

See xenocron's site for cheap fuel pumps.

What I meant was, as long as his fuel pressure is adequate, and stays the same once he changes pumps, the tune won't care..

I misunderstood you, you are correct.

I think the stock pumps might be fairly underated too. JD can confirm this, but I think Steve Jones' turbo H22 Hatch put down like 324hp on a mustang dyne with a stock pump, starting to run out around 6200 rpm.

Cool. I wasn't saying his pump would work either. It may, but I just wanted him to think about it the right way. I guess I should have been more thorough with my first response.
