Steady red CEL

Steady red CEL
My ECU is chipped and tuned with TurboEdit by Xenocron to run DSM 450's. The setup is a D16A6 with a T3 .42/.48. The car ran good for about 2 weeks, after being on the Dyno from a repair shop to get an inspection, I noticed the car temp was a little high. (Not overheating).
So, the car temp went back to normal on the drive home and while in boost it started to run crappy, and would not climb up the RPM's smoothly.
At a red lite the car stalled. I re-started it and drove it home and it stalled again to notice a steady red CEL.
I unplugged the ECU and opened it up to look for any signs of damage. (Im not familiar with the specifics of programming thats why I had it done by a professional)
It looked fine so I reinstalled it and the light went off but the car ran terribly again, same problem with the RPM's not climbing smoothly (No codes).
So, I called Chris to seek advise and I tried switching the launch control settings to see if anything happens. The ECU is OBD0 and has 4 little switches in the ECU to activate the settings for the launch control, I can take pics if it will help.
Now, the launch control works, and the ECU is throwing no codes but the ECU will not operate it a mode without launch control.
How is it that it stopped working?
Does anyone have any suggestions, or similar experience with this problem?
What would cause the progam to stop running?
Any input would help. Chris offered to burn the chip again but I would like to find out what caused the problem. I mean how could the program get erased or damaged?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Steady red CEL
Did the ecu have a ZIF socket and did it posibly fall out. I have had that happen a few times. Also I did have one program just go bad out of nowhere. Possibly vibration killed it, but try having him reburn the chip.

Re: Steady red CEL
AAAARGH! Today I stalled again and got a steady red CEL on the ECU. So, now this is the setting WITH launch control. So, I shut off the car and flipped the switch to deactivate the launch control and the car started with no CEL or codes. What? Yesterday the car only ran with launch control activated, and now today the car runs without launch control.
How is it that the computer works when it wants?
Can anyone suggest a method of engine mgmt. that will be less troublesome? Or is this a common problem with a chipped ECU?

Re: Steady red CEL
sounds like a connection at the ecu problem. if it was chipped by chris i doubt thats the problem, but its a possiblity nonetheless. i would start by swapping in another chip, someone should be able to burn you one that is driveable that is close to you. and if that doesnt help, the switch for launch control might have just went bad.
