Re: SST chips no good or is it just me
Cray I think you put an extra 0 in there.
I've been burning them with my Willem for a while now, and have only encountered one bad chip. Make sure you set the jumper for erase and erase the chip every time before you burn it. Don't forget to set the jumper back to burn before burning. |
Re: SST chips no good or is it just me
I use SST 27SF512's exclusively with my willems. in fact i lost all of mine but one so this one has been reburnt a ---- ton
How I get them to burn right every time Move erase jumper to erase and go into the software and erase Make sure offset is set to 8000 and clear the cache, and make sure jumper is set to normal. Remove the jumper that is above the zif socket, and press the button to the right of it until the led on the far right is lit up load your bin and hit the burn button. i think at this point a dialog box comes up.. hit ok. then put the jumper back in and it should burn |

I do a lot of GM stuff with my Burn 1. I back read lots of GM ---- so changing the chip designation and offset is a constant thing.

Maybe the Burn1 is easier to use or whatever, but I have seen no indications of a Willem being a hassle or frustrating, so I can't really see a reason to switch. The damn thing is so easy to use a retarded monkey could do it. Alll these dipshits have problems cause they don't read the setup stuff that comes on the CD.
I don't have a romulator, and I needed something I could plug into the laptop easily. |
Re: SST chips no good or is it just me
I have the willems also, it is easy once you understand how to use it. Someone ganked a 29c256 right out of my car! is there any place you know of that still sells them?
