It was NA when I sold it to him, but I had boosted it for 8 months or so and had low compression in 1 cylinder when I went back to NA

Your 100% right. I removed the head tonight........I'll have pics tomorrow :-X No major fuckage just two little half moon cracks out of the top of cylinders 2&3.

Oh I found the real cause of what happened. I used a plastic vaccum line to gofrom the boost source to my boost controler and it was to close to my turbo and melted :X :1 :S huhhh I zip tied it but it was still to close I guess. I'm so pissed at myself right now.

Guys you'll see in the pics tomorrow night this is the cleanest engine Ive ever taken apart before. It looks better than the 84k f22b1 bottom end I'm putting in it tomorrow. You can read the marks on the pistons theres no carbon build up on anything it's just a light brown color in the middle of the pistons.

Lol thats shitty. I did that myself but I caught it when it boost spiked. After that I used fuel line for my vacuum lines. No melting, and it should give quicker response and be more accurate because there is less flex in the line itself

It had 180k on it and looking at the plugs they had no sign of det. lean if anything. I'll know more tomorow night.
This happening kind of shakes my confidence. But I guess all I can do is learn from it and move on. I won't be voluteering to tune anyone elses car until this new motor survives awhile. It only has 84k on it and the accord it's in is clean except for the damage from the wreck. You can tell the car was old lady driven.

Get a plug that's 1 step colder and check the blue (annealing) line after a hard run. So far that's helped me out tremendously.

Oh yeah I read your other thread. I'm now one step closer to being a Joseph Davis. Now I just need to drink more.

Well I guess if a mod want's to move this go ahead. Right after it happened it shook my condidence as a tuner and I thought I'd have to go about learning what I did wrong. But it was just a dumb mechanical mistake that I really can't beleive I did.
this is what did it :1

and heres the dead pistons.

I guess it just built up god knows how much psi with the vacuum line to wastegate melted in half and just blew the tops off those two pistons.

You don't have a boost gauge?

:1 It was the one time I didn't look at it. I was racing and I looked up to watch the other car.

Right after I got out of prison, I had 6 hours before I had to be to a wedding. After doing time I just wanted boost, almost as much as vaginal sex. Got my t3/t04b back on in 5 hrs, pulled on the hwy, 1st pull blew a coupler off. Pulled over, noticed the WG nipple hose was cracked - still no idea how much boost it made. Boosted fine after.

Some people have luck, some don't. And I got some back after loosing a shitload of luck. :-\

LOL I'd say after your luck being so bad you find yourself in prison ummm it only could get better from there.

Or like one guy I knew. Went to prison for 15 years got out and after three months desided to rob a bank on presidents day.
He jumped out of his car threw the mask over his had and ran up to the banks door and found it locked :1 :1 His luck was so bad that a cop spotted him and needless to say they violated his parole. I think he onlt had to serve out less than a year somehow because the next summer he was back out and working with me again layng brick.
