Self Owned!!
I actually blew up my own motor sunday night I'm kind of ashamed of myself. I tuned it for 8 psi like four months ago but because I was at the edge of the stock fuel pumps limits I turned it down to four.
Since that tuning session Ive learned tons more from JD Chris and others on pgmfi and I knew my old tune was probably no good the timing IMO was way advanced just looking at it around 21 in crome .
But recentlyI'd been having some issues after taking the motor out and cleaning everything up and couldn't figure them out, Until Sunday afternoon. I found a small boost leak in the coupler in my inner fender going up by the battery and an exhuast leak between my turbo and the manifold after that it was back to normal.
I was just so excited to have it fixed that I did something stupid and turned it back up to eight. :1 I have a new fuel pump I was going to put on this week and I'm finally getting an ostrich from Xenocron. It should be here Tomorrow.
I was going to put in the fuel pump and retune at 10psi.
I really didn't think that one pull would kill it but it did shifting from second to third it detonated in cylinders 2&3 it was complete devastation from the boost hitting the oilpan it shot the dipstick out and sprayed all the oil all over the hood an engine bay *L* that I had just cleaned and painted. God told me I don't deserve a clean car
But I found a f22b1 at a junkyard near me for $150 so tomorrow I'm swapping a low miles f22a6 head onto that block and dropping it in my accord. So I'm happy I end up with a much better engine "the old one was at 182k" It was probably just done anyway. And I gained some experiance the hard way.
This isn't the best pic it's just the oil sprayed all over the place. I had wiped most of it up before I thought to take pics My friend have some on their phones I can get but I'll get some sploded piston shots tomorrow but it's all I have right now. I'll have the real ---- tomorrow night. This belongs in engine managment as a lesson to noobs. Like myself

This happening kind of shakes my confidence. But I guess all I can do is learn from it and move on. I won't be voluteering to tune anyone elses car until this new motor survives awhile. It only has 84k on it and the accord it's in is clean except for the damage from the wreck. You can tell the car was old lady driven.

Re: Self Owned!!
check the compression at all? Could be your ringlands just went. I sold my b18b civic to some guy and a month later he brought me the pistons back-- ringlands gone from every piston all at the same time, and no sign of detonation at all. It was NA when I sold it to him, but I had boosted it for 8 months or so and had low compression in 1 cylinder when I went back to NA
