S-AFC Settings Double Check

S-AFC Settings Double Check
All right so I'm winding down on the check list of ---- to do before I dig into installing my turbo on my '87 CRX.
I already have the 450's and an S-AFC is in the mail to me. All that's left is IC tubing from JC Whitney's.
I have read the FAQs and also various post and have come up with a range of settings that will be 'safe' for my car.
I already am running 240cc injectors on my 1.5 with an adjustable FP regulator that lowered the fuel PSI. The 450's should be a bolt on using the AFC with the FP regulator set right where it is for the 240cc injectors.
Here's what I come up with:
1000RPM -40%
1500RPM -40%
2000RPM -40%
2500RPM -40%
3000RPM -39%
3500RPM -39%
4000RPM -39%
4500RPM -39%
5000RPM -38%
5500RPM -38%
6000RPM -37%
6500RPM -37%
7000RPM -35%
Do these sound like safe numbers to run with my car?
Thanks for the info ahead of time.

Re:S-AFC Settings Double Check
You'll want to start off rich and slowly lean it out from there while your tuning. I'm sure what you have come up with would be a safe setting for the AFC, but it's better to start richer than lean. So you might want to start off at -36% or so and like i said lean it out from there depending on how rich or lean etc. the engine is burning.
I just like to leave myself some room to "work" with so I know for sure I've got a safe start.

Re:S-AFC Settings Double Check
Yeah, at -35%the engine will probably idle like crap, but thats because it's running rich. Start at like -36 - -38% and get richer as your boost starts to increase. If you do end up getting a CEL, you might want to pull the code first, then try and lean it up a bit and start over at say -38% - -40%.
There are no actual set values for anyones engine. Everyones engine is going to be different, thats why picking someone elses AFC tune might not be the best way to start off. It's probably safer to make your own tune and not risk a blown engine.

Re:S-AFC Settings Double Check
My car is an old school '87 CRX Si with a 1.5
*T3 from an '89 Saab 9000 with 1200 miles on the rebuild
*SMIC from a '91 Talon
*450cc injectors Same vintage DSM car
*MSD BTM
*Adjustabe FP regulator
*Apexi S-AFC
*Boost Gauge (Just to be sure)
I'm still working on a wide band. Been looking around but can't afford it right now. Found a couple homemade WB kits that use a Honda WideBand O2, but I'm still waiting to hear back from the guy that offered the kit.
Thanks again for the help.
