right ecu?

Re: right ecu?
comparing converting a p05/p06 to a vtec ecu to running vtec support with no hardware modifications is like comparing apples and oranges. almost all obd1 civic/integra ecu's share the same mother board, so by adding the extra vtec components, it is physically converting the ecu in to a p28. the only thing that could really compare in this case, would be physically changine a pm6/pr4 to an actual pr3/pw0. and no, i'm not on an 'uber > te' kick at all! i just like busting your *****. we're all partial to certain programs, obviously for certain reasons, but all of the free rom editors are equally great in my opinion, just b/c of the fact that the creators spent count less hours of their own time to design something to help anyone willing to learn with no intention of even making money. you'll never hear me put down any 'free' program ever, like i already said, i just like busting your *****

The advancement of the PW0/PR3 is light years behind the PM6. Even look at Hondata, thier support for PR3/PW0 is MINIMAL.. It's bastard *** ECU that no one gives a ---- about.
You have 100x more flexibility in the TE PM6 based code, and ECUs as you do with the PR3/PW0. This *INCLUDES* dual MAP (Lo/Hi Cam) VTEC support.. which is all you're getting out of a PR3/PW0 any damn way...
....sooooo, like I said, if you did keep your PR3/PW0, you would limiting yourself, TE is not limiting you by providing more features, more flexibility, and a cheaper solution in the PM6 based ECUs.
