Putting together a very low boost system, will a FMU work? ~3psi
I'm putting together a crap *** system to boost about 3psi (maybe 5psi later on), car uses a MAF (or hfm), will a 12:1 vortech FMU work for a system of this low boost? I hear from some people that a FMU wont start functioning until like 5psi or so...Is that because stock fuel pressure is at 44psi and at 3psi (36psi) it wont be pressing the fuel lines hard enough to be over the stock 44, meaning not increasing the fuel pressure over stock?

So even at 1psi at boost the fmu will be adding extra fuel into my engine? I Keep hearing that FMU will not work for 4 and under psi s ystems.
I want to make sure it will, I don't want my car to lean out.
