Default PTE 1600cc injectors

Is it normal for 1600cc injectors to require richer AFR's in order to idle smoother? I was out with my boy today tuning my car and we could not get these injectors to idle right while at 14.5/14.7 AFR best idle was acheived at 11.5 AFR, and while cruising also rich was also better. very rough idle, part throttle was a pain in the *** and we ran out of time, so we got to try again next weekend.

any tuning tips for running these injectors?

please don't ask me stupid questions like why do I need injectors this big. (power goal and intentions in build thread)

Usually the motor needs a little more fuel to idle, you could also drop the fuel pressure a little bit and tune from there

what is the pressure set at? play with that a little. Also return line size might have a play in it too?

I have dual walbro intank pumps. 8AN feed line and 6AN return my fuel pressure is at 43psi idle, last time I tried to mess with my fuel pressure it was not making any changes, was at about 60psi idle. I think something is wrong with the gauge so I ordered a new one. at one point we tried to tune part throttle and we just keep adding fuel.

my boy had to leave and I did some tune runs on my own on the autobahn, initially my AFR's 15 at 13 psi I richen up the entire boost cels and got it to 11.5 AFR. but with these injectors its very hard to tune part throttle. I need to find a dyno so I can pay mre attention to these areas.

when I had the 1000cc in everything was a lot cleaner and easier to use. but then again we are 600cc more.
maybe its the brand injectors. RC seems like a more refined injector

precisions all the way!!!! I've had both brands and I'm more impressed with all of the set ups I've seen with precision.

1600's are like turning a garden hose on and off. the cars that run 2 sets of 16's actually run smoother.

2 sets of 16's wouldn't that make it flood even more?

RC is the way I roll! But keep it up, I have seen mean setups running 1600cc injectors and having a fine idle not running too rich, maybe like 13:1 or something if I remember
