Well, see, 88-89 ECUs are limited. The only one I can think of is PG7.. which doesn't have external EEPROM.

PS9 wasn't introduced until 90-91.. as well as PR4.

try a Civic Concerto with MPFI and automatic. it would have a D16 engine in it.

..but, no, from what I am aware of, the USDM auto PR4 (OBD0) will not work "as a" PS9 would.
Not exactly sure "HOW" an auto PR4 outputs to the tranny...i do know that if you chip a PR4 manual or automatic with a manual program (ROM) it will run in a manual car. But I dont not believe the reverse of that is true.

The Auto PR4 will not work like the PS9 though...or I am sure PGMFI would be working on that...and they aren't.

it'll work but i havent been able to get rid of code 12: EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve and don't know which, if any, pin will get rid of it. snip pin 28 to get rid of code 19: Automatic transmission lockup control valve
- otherwise when you tap on the brake it stalls the motor.

also be aware that the 90 pr4 has an external PA sensor, while the 91 has it internally. you can run a 91 in a 90 but a 90 in a 91 probably will throw code 13: BARO - atmospheric pressure sensor.

Can that be corrected with code? ..say PM7 based code?

PM7 has external PA, and is very similar to PM6.. and we've been using it as an alternative on PR4s..

..but, I've personally never tested this, as I don't own an Integra.

.....so, someone with a PR4 _and_ an Integra, should test it.
