i sould tke some sandpaper and clean off the tips then stick them in and pull them out after a day of use. seewaht color they are, i would think if they are green there is water getting in somewhere..

Mine are/were green also...I also have no idea what it means. The insulator just had a little green tint to them but you can definitely notice.
