George's MAP cut is a bit leaner than the "usual" AFC settings, so you'll have to tweak the maps a bit to run really well with 450's, but I wouldn't hesitate to run the car NA like that while I got a feel for tuning via Ghettodyne.

MR_DR_PEP, you're in New Bern... you need to cruise up to Asheville on April 19th for the carolinahondas.com meet... on the 20th we crash Deals Gap - there will be a bunch of S2000 and MR2's there that day. If the weather is bad, the Asheville meet is still on, but Deals Gap is off. You'll get to meet some pretty cool and smart people with some really trick rides, you'll also get to meet a lot of ricers, but they are the good ricers who mean no harm.

I'll show you my clusterfucked work space piled high with broken electronics crap, my 27 ECUs, chip burner, and give you a hands on demo of any number of things. I'll lay a burned CD in your hands filled with all the goodies I normally use neatly laid out in categorized directories with a small text file in each to give you a primer on what each does. None of this is that hard, it's just it's a lot of new stuff to choke down all at once. You just need someone to show you the ropes just like somebody helped you get into automechanics at one point.

UberTeg is a little cranky because he's afraid to come out of the closet, don't pay him any attention.

is there anyway to change the vtec points then? like if you are using a P28

or is there anyway to add vtec to pm6, like if you are running a d16z6 in a crx.

Thanks

PauL

actually on the pgmfi site they are working
on hacking the hf ecu... to use the shift
light activation point as a vtec crossover.

much like zdyne does...

there is no way to add vtec to a pm6 yet
but hopefully in a few months, you will
be able to soder on a few parts, and
put in a new rom, and there you go...

im not exactly sure how far the obd1 team
is coming along, as i seldom look in on them
because im obd0 for life...
(exception = honda insight for a family car.)

So this will do the trick, "Batronix EEprom Programmer 3.3:"
Will it work with for ghettodyne? I'm really not too familiar with this? How does it work, do i create a bin file in Ghettodyne, which assigns all the values to the hex location, then just open the bin file in the Chip writer software and burn it?

Smokey, you got it. The Batronix software is just a burner app, like Nero/CDRWin/Fireburner/Roxio/etc used for burning CDs.

I guess if they have me pimping in this place, I should do a write-up on Ghettodyne and Batronix's Prog-Studio, complete with screenshots. It really is pretty simple, it's a lot harder to desolder the chip in your ECU.

atomik, most of the OBD1 Civic/Integra stuff can be tweaked - they use three different motherboard platforms (four if you count the wierd 1560 VX board) all of which can be upgraded on the hardware level to and from manual, auto, VTEC, knock, etc. Only IABs are supported by the P72/75.

Most of the code can be tweaked for VTEC, revlimit, fuel/spark, but up until recently you did it all in a hex editor... Uberego (RIP) came up with a nifty program to do the editing for you, and released the naturally aspirated version to the general public.
