Yeah, quit cruising at interstate speeds
OK, OK... some cars I've seen lately have problems switching from open to closed loop and back for no reason. I think it's a ground problem. If your AF meter keeps going from steady to switching action for no reason on an interstate cruise, you might have this problem and be assuming it's AFC related.
The only code I click at long interstate cruises is a 43, fuel system. Haven't had one of those in months.

Joeseph good call on the interstate driving i have to roll on the highway everyday.I'm using the spare tire holder bolt spot as my ground. The connection is bare metal and corrosion free but i'm tired of throwing a cel so often that im goin to run a ground from the original spot in the engine compartment to the battery in the back.I think thats part of my problem the other part i believe is the fact that i have a 1988 si and thats the bastard year and my ecu' s rev limiter is 6800 which is different from the 89-91's so im wondering if the fuel maps might be leaner also because the 1988's hp rating is less than the 89-91's.I'm still adjusting my v-afc settings and the cel's are less infrequent now and only come on at the same rpm everytime (about 3800) and on deceleration.
