Default open dp and wideband placement

got most of the bugs worked out of my jaw, only problem is that i am currently running my 16g with an open dp and my afr are good when i step on 4k and above it but it goes to 34.28:1 when i am off the gas and at 1/4 throttle its about 18:1, these values cant be right because the car runs good and at these values it wont run at all, i think its because i have a 8 in dp with the o2 4 in from the end
cant hook up the rest of the dp cuz i cant weld ftl, going to wait till monday so the welder at my work can help me out again
