Default SDS EIC ?

I was considering going with a SDS EIC setup on my prelude, but they said it might not wrok since I have a vaccum advance distributor, and that this system needs a tach signal. I plan on using a MSD BTM as my spark managment, is there someway to make this work on my motor?

You need to get out of the 80's and come into the year 21st century.

SDS EICs and MSD BTMs = the fail

Get your setup running an electronic advance distributor and get running at least OBD0 if not OBD1

thats the functional norm these days yes...

i'm sure a specific prelude forum would have more specific info on what you need, but an OBD1 distirbutor that fits your head, wired correctly with a chipped OBD1 ECU and you'll be off to the races
