odb-1 convertion question ??????

Re:odb-1 convertion question ??????
okay a little confused here.
So lemme get this straight, he had a 97 Civic LX with the Y7 and wants to convert to OBD1... could I ask for what reason?
I thought you were trying to do a swap into an 'EG' or 'EF', that's why I asked what car. But you/he just wants use the OBD1 ecu?
Or does he want to convert to OBD1 just to use a chipped ecu? If that is the case and the only reason why he wants to convert, I say don't bother. In my opinion the cost to benifit ratio is not worth it. Unless he's gonna go but a turbo or what not on it, then it would be worth it to convert.

Re:odb-1 convertion question ??????
he can use a number of obd1 ecu's if it's going to be chipped, but if it's not chipped, yes, he needs a p06, and yes, he has to do the 2 wire iacv conversion no matter what, but there's an easy way around it. biggmike posted a link for it somewhere, all you have to do is swap some wires so that the ecu actually thinks the 3 wire iacv is a 2 wire.
