Default obd2a to obd1 conversion...02 sensor question

When going from obd2a to obd1 with a simple harness conversion, are both 02 sensors still active when running a stock engine map? Obviously checking the box will disable them. The reason Im asking is because Im going to be doing this soon, and I don't want to wreck one of the two 02 sensors that is not active. IE. the obd1 computer uses the 02 before the cat as there is NOT one after the cat.

you would not need the one after the cat if you are going obd1

Ok, so the one after the cat...does it still get power to heat the sensor, or is it going to be ruined if I run the car with it just plugging the bung?

More than likely yes. But you will not need it anymore? Obd1 will not supply anything to this o2 sensor.

OK that's what I was kinda thinking. I'm just going to take them both out, plug the bung, and disable the 02 sensor. Thanks
