obd1 J1 jumper connected with a resistor?
hey guys i just got my ecu in the mail. i bought as the following: a p06 converted to a p28, socketed for hondata and has the datalogging header on it.
well before i get a basemap in there i wanted to disconnect J1 and test out the ecu make sure its working ok. However, in J1 there is a resistor soldered in. I thought normally people just solder in a jumper, switch or even just a wire.
just wondering why a resistor is there
here's a picture:
thanks for the help i really really appreciate it!

yeah i had one with one of those....it was like 2inches off the board though, so i reusued it (was cut when i got it)...
just use a regular jumper wire (extra leg off a resistor)....but mounted off the baord for the next guy/time
