Default obd0 vtec ecu's and turboedit.. is there any hope for ppl with pr3?

I'm getting ready for a turbo install and trying to avoid paying the money for hondata and really dont want to use a fmu/missling link type setup.
I've been looking into turbo edit and playing around. Maybe im blind but it seems like there isnt much support for vtec ecu's like a pr3? you can look at the stock program but all the boost options are edited out. I've also looked at the ng55 bin and basemap helper stuff but it doesnt show high/low cam fuel/ignition maps and looks like its geared for non vtec motors even tho you can copy past the pr3 maps into it. Maybe someone educate me or is it just a matter of someone making a editable bin for it?

you don't need the vtec ecu, you can get a 50 dollar pm6, have it chipped and run vtec with that (i'm not too familiar with te, but i believe you use the a/c ouput to trigger the vtec solenoid), one wire vtec, simple as that, but no, there is not boost support for the pr3 with turbo edit as it sits right now as far as i know.

Thats fine and all if that works but wouldnt there be a disadvantage to not having both the high and low cam fuel/ignition maps? or do ppl like manually adjust those maps on rpms below vtec to have the same effect? if you can point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

"Splicing" your maps is perfectly legitimate.

Since it's not a load/speed/tps/temp dependend feature. VTEC _will_ activate at the desired RPM everytime (provided you have enough oil pressure at the solenoid). Unlike standard VTEC (dual map) activation, your engagement point will move around based on sensor checks. Even if you have a 5200 rpm engagement, you may still not hit VTEC unless your temp is hot.. or you're moving fast enough, the pedal is down far enough.. so on so forth. This is the reason for the overlap in the the traditional VTEC ROMs.

Thanks a ton that cleared up alot. I'm assuming the only option I have is to use a pm6 ecu and use the pinout for the ac for vtec. Also because im using a pr3 I'm assuming that means I no longer need 2 o2s and knock sensor if I remember there was one more sensor for oil. I'll dig around somemore but if you can point me to a good article that would be awesome.
