i think the "data link connector" is the wire that needs to be grounded for the CEL control.

i got mine in and working...kinda. im throwing a code 14 (IACV)...any ideas?

88crxSi 10-20-2004 06:31 AM

Re:obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

does the code re-occur immediately on startup?

turbohf 10-20-2004 12:43 PM

Re:obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

couple seconds after start up. will do a little stutter at 1500rpms but with a 50% or better throttle it will pass, so its kinda driveable. there are other driveablity problems too, but lets clear the IACV first and hope it solves them too...

88crxSi 10-20-2004 12:55 PM

Re:obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

ya id say that stutter is due to the fact that the iacv isnt letting air pass thru. meanin she's rich until the car starts to pull its own air in.. ?? (maybe? :-[)

Re:obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

he has no iacv, just a resistor in the plug to fool that stupid ecu.

have you messed with the iacv slider in uberdata (you are running uberdata aren't you?)

what version are you running? in the newest 1.7, there is an 'iacv slider' at the bottom of the misc. tab, you can adjust the iacv settings with it, don't know if it will work, but mess around with it some, it might do the trick.

im pretty sure i have 1.7...but i dont see any IACV ----, just the map scalers...

Re:obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

no you dont... i run a P05 ECU... and you dont need a VTEC dizzy, you just need an OBD1/2 dizzy that fits your motor...

i compared the article i had the the zip posted and noticed two things where different a12(obd1) (fanc) b8(obd0), and b5(obd1) (ACS) b4(obd0),
would these not make my car start?
or maby it was the dizzy wiring

Re:obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

I found on my own personal harness that 4 of the distributor wires were wrong. I built the harness of of crx88si's write up and I checked it with the one on pgmfi. either way my car doesn't work, hopefully I find out wtf is wrong soon, my bike isn't that fast.

Re: obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

This one and PGMFI both show B4 as Radiator fan and B8 as AC, this one is vice versa. Which is correct? I've got my harness ready except for that.

TurboEF9 03-13-2005 06:18 PM

Re: obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

The one on PGMFI.org worked perfect for me.

The harness started my car up, first try, no CELs. "Kurts OBD0->OBD1" conversion.

It's pin D4 (or C4 depending on who's chart you're looking at), the Service Check Connector. If you wire it up to pin B20 like these write-up say, you just need to jumper the Ignition Timing Adjustment Connector, the same as if you are adjusting the timing.
I looked it up in the service manual, and I just verified by reading the codes in my CRX.

after doing a couple of these swaps for other people i thought i woudl throw this in here sence its not really covered....

i use the stock 'white' plug setup cuz it looks stock for one (most people cant tell the diff between a OBD0 and 1 dizzy with the plugs swapped) and its easy to swap back to OBD0 if there is a need...

i dontknwo if this will help. ive been lookng int he yards for the obd1 plugs for the ecu, everytime i find an abd1 car its already been cut. finally i realized theres alot of accords and no body really touches them. usually you can find the plpugs o those cuz the ecu is usually attached cuz who wants to fix up one of those

Is this only for HF/Si's?

turbohf 07-12-2005 12:22 AM

Re: obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

kinda....it will only work if you have done a MPFI swap to a DX/LX/std...which it should be anyway... the DPFI plug is only like 6 pins (i think) so you would need to swap to a different plug for MPFI or OBD1 setup....

so do a MPFI swap then this should work for you... :-*

TurboEF9 07-12-2005 09:52 AM

Re: obd0 to obd1 conversion harness excel files

DPFI is a 5 pin square plug... with no TDC or CYP wires.. the MPFI plug is a 7 pin round plug that includes those two wires.

Damn, this thread is very informative. I just printed out like 30 pages of info and pinout diagrams.

I would like to know where to get harness pins as well. There has to be an electronics site that sells these. http://partsexpress.com/ maybe? I'm going to be adding quite a few wires. The OBD-0 pins and OBD-1 pins are not interchangeable, are they? That would be too easy.

I have an 89 dx shell that I'm putting a Z6 and my turbo kit into. I'm planning on doing a dpfi obd0 ---> mpfi obd1 swap, with Uber for fuel management/vtec.

I have the complete DX harness. I have the complete Z6 with all sensors, dizzy, 02, engine subharness. I was planning on using the Z6 engine harness unmodified, except running resistors in line to the injectors so I can use my DSM 450s. I was just going to modify the DX harness that runs from the ECU to the bigass plug in the engine bay.

I still need a obd-1 ecu, and assted plugs. Are the plugs from any 92-95 the same? I can use any OBD-1 ecu, correct? (PR4/P05/P06/p75) Just chip it? I'm heading to the yard, and want to make sure I get the right stuff. There are only a couple of EGs in there.

Sorry for the newbie questions.

I have this problem: I have a TD60U OBD1 dizzy from 92-95 prelude. I'd like to make a coversion harness from OBD1 distributor to OBD0 Si engine harness.

Here are my colors:
http://www2.arnes.si/~mjereb2/WIREcolors.JPG

Somebody once wrote:

First you have 7 wires to use. Left side is OBD-0, right side is obd-1/2. The colors give will be the factory Civic wire colors.

OBD-0 (ECU Pin) OBD-1 (ECU pin)

Wht (B12) ~ Blu/Yel (B16)
Org (B10) ~ Blu/Grn (B15)

Wht/Blue (C4) ~ Wht/Blu (B14)
Org/Blu (C3) ~ Org/Blu (B13)

Blu/Yel (C2) ~ Wht (B12)
Blu/Grn (C1) ~ Org (B11)

Wht(slightly larger, ignitor wire) ~ Goes to same wire on Dizzy side, the solo wire by itsellf
There is listed blue\green (B15) wire under OBD1. As you can see on the pic there is no wire colored like this on my dizzy. But i have green\yellow wire which is no tlisted there... now i'm confused. Do other wires match those on that list?
Any idea?
