NEED turbo setup help D16Y8 99/00
Ok I brought a turbo T3/T4 setup kit. This is all new to me i've gain some knowledge threw this site but still have questions. My friends tell me to get the greddy e-manage and the greddy E-01 plus a turbo timer. My question is do i need to or can i get away with not havening these items... I mean if its easyer with than i'll purchase these items but i see that many on this site don't use that siteup. I see that they use the a FMU a Missing map link change the fuel injectors and etc. To be honest i want a simple site up and than later purchase more expenive items as i get more involve. What do i need?

never use a FMU or waste your money on greddy emanage. get a OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness and get a chipped ecu. shouldn't be any more then $200 for everything you need and it will run 100% better then any other form of engine managment. where are you located?

I've got a y7 and I just got finished swapping from an AFC to Uberddata. Like everyone says don't waste your time or money on anf FMU or anything else, just go right to uberdata. read up on this forum and pgmfi.org and get familiar with uberdata and go for it, you'll be happy you did.

uberdata is a stand alone tuning system for honda obd 1 ecu's. Read the FAQ in engine management and search and read up on all the different types of engine management so you can make the best choice for your application. you'll spend less money on uberdata and have a better tune, but you need to familiarize yourself with how it works before you dive into it or any other system for that matter.
