projecteg: both p75 and p72 boards are the same except for the vtec and knock sensor parts (wich can all be installed into the P75 board but I dont know how and dont have where to buy them), so, you can burn a P72 map on a P75 ecu and not get cels and still crossover to high cam maps IF you disable vtec selenoid CHECK and knock sensor. All you would need is to engage vtec (the selenoid itself) by the means of an MSD RPM activated switch, VAFC etc. At least thats what ive read

TurvoEF9: on low cam (all thats available on the P75 bins) you cant make the highest rpm on the table more than 8000rpm and on crome you cant even change these values.

OK.. after looking into this ROM you're right. 8000 is the highest you can go based on the low cam formula for that.

Offset 0x7C7B is your row 20 RPM scalar int he P75 code, 0xF8 is 7500, 0xFF is 7938, 0x00 is 8000.. ..so ya, 8000 is the top. Sorry.

I actually wnet back and read this thread... ..and my conclusion is you're being hardeded _and_ cheap.

The cost of the P75 to P72 components is less than $15 shipped if you don't buy in bulk. You spent the money to build the motor, spend the money to take care of it... for real.

Crome free won't disable the "VTEC Solenoid Check", it will disable VTEC all together. I don't have a copy of Crome commercial, so... I couldn't tell you if it's got it or not.

trust me, i'm well aware of the differences between a p75 and p72, you also forgot about the iab's though ;) if you're interested in converting your p75 to a p72, i can sell you a complete kit with everything to add iab's and vtec, then you could activate vtec the correct way and not have to worry about an rpm activated vtec device, which is what it sounds like your plans are. anyways, i don't see what all of the confusion is, just burn a p72 map for a basemap and disable vtec so you don't get a cel, i don't see what else you're looking to do. a p72 map will be your best starting point for an lsvtec, trust me, i speak from experience. you have to tune no matter what, so that is your best starting point, then end. there is no way to disable 'vtec solenoid check', that would be disabling vtec all together which totally defeats the purpose of p72 and p30 roms.

He's looking to have the ECU activate VTEC *MAPS*.. without throwing a code for not having the circuit for the VTEC solenoid. Very half assed.

Re: Need help form a tuner that can make me a simple .bin

I live in venezuela, I cant buy the components here nor know anybody who is confident enough to not ---- up my ecu converting it. Buying them from the states is difficult as my government has regulation over money exchange (I cant use my credit cards in the usa). Thats why im doing this.

TurboEF9 is right, I want to activate vtec MAPS and just use an external vtec controller which might sound half assed but will work exactly the same as it being activated through the ecu. I was told in the pgmfi forum that in crome pro you could disable the vtec selenoid check and still get the jump to vtec MAPS at the desired point.

I dont have IABS (B16 head) so I would just disable them ( how?? seting the activation point higher thatn the rev limit??)

TIA

Send a Money Order...

I certainly have no problems shipping to Venezula and I'm sure Kevin wouldnt either.

All you have to do is label the package "Warranty Repair Parts" and no one thinks otherwise.

...anything to help out.

I'll poke around and see if I can find VTEC solenoid check..

If I find it, I'll post the information on how to disable it... I'm not one to horde code.

Do you guys sell cheap programmers??
