Need help form a tuner that can make me a simple .bin
Hi, I just built an LS/Vtec (B18B/B16A) and dont have the money for a P28 or dyno time.
Could someone please make me a bin for my OBD1 pr4 ecu that has both low and high cam maps onto one map crossing over at 5300rpm and limiting at stock B16 rev limit (8300?). This can be from a stock B18C1 map or whatever works and just isnt lean. Ill just use a msd activated swith to turn on vtec. This is just until I get a chipped P28 and some tuning (and some ctr pistons ;) ) Thanks in advance |

Re: Need help form a tuner that can make me a simple .bin
I downloaded uberdata 1.66 and 1.7 but i dont think all stock bins are correct. I didnt want a straight up b18c1 tune but more like a LS/vtec tune if someone had it or could make it.
Some Q?: Can I copy and paste as I wish between .bins?? Can I grab the stock LS bin and paste from a B18C1s .bin the low cam fuel and timing until 5300 and then the high cam fuel and timing unto my rev limit?? will this cause any trouble?? Ill try to make it but could you please check it for me so dont blow my engine up. TIA |

OK, I tried it with uberdata 1.7 (beta I think) and it was fairly simple, the 2d graph from my low cam fuel on the p75.bin looks a lot like the b18c1's low and high fuel pasted together at 5000RPM (with lower resolution).
Now my problem is, I can set my fuel cut anywhere I like but the readings on the scale cant go higher that 8000rpm (just on the low cam but its all I got). How can I make it go a bit higher so I can adjust fuel and timing up there, if its imposible where should I set my revlimit? (currently at 8100) thanks for making me learn a bit. where can i upload the bin so someone can check it please. |
Re: Need help form a tuner that can make me a simple .bin
Sorry to say, no one is going to be able to check your BIN and let you know if its ok.
As far as increasing the RPMs so you can rev higher, look under the Rev Limits tabe and see you can set the rpms levels for low and high cam. Adjust those to your needs. And again, a lot of this is covered on the UD forums. Def read up over there and if you have specific questions about UD they can probably help you faster and provide you more accurate info than us hacks over here most days :) |

I was reading the pgmfi forum and it seems that if you have crome pro you can burn a p72 bin on an ls ecu jut by disabling IAB,vtec selenoid check, oil pressure check and I think vtec coolant temp check also. It will still change maps and everything you just need an external way of activating the selenoid at the specified rpm (msd switch). Could someone please do this for me?? thanks

Sorry dude, you are being polite and all but this is a DIY type of place, we can help you understand but we certainly wont do the work for you. :-\ You are on the right track with the places you are reading...keep up with that and you will be much happier with the end result. |
