My Proposed setup...
okay this is what I'm thinking about doing for a ghetto setup, so tell me what I'm missing/ if this will be safe with good tuning ?(which I'm going to be bugging you guys about later on):
TURBO PARTS LIST:
1. RBH5 TURBO ASSEMBLY WITH OIL LINES AND DOWNPIPE
2. 1G DSM ECLIPSE BOV
3. 1G DSM ECLIPSE INTERCOOLER
4. GHARGE PIPING AND COUPLERS
5. OIL PAN BUNG JBWELDED ON
6. VORTECH 12:1 FMU
7. FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
8. FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE
10. EGT PROBE AND GAUGE
11. BOOST GAUGE
12. FUEL PUMP?(do I need this)
13. 2.5 IN. EXHAUST FROM DOWNPIPE BACK
14. CHECK VALVES FOR THE MAP SENSOR
#9 is missing because it was an ari/fuel ratio gauge and I figure no wideband O2 so why have an airfuel gauge?
Anyway, does this seem like a reliable setup? I'm shooting for under 7psi. on a mpfi swapped d15b2 Crx.
I'm cheap but I don't want my engine in pieces and I'm not going to be pushing the boost any higher on this engine anyway, but I'd like it to last a year or so with good tuning. Once I get a sturdier engine I'm probably going to buy an safc and injectors.
What's this maphack? Is it cheaper/ more reliable than my proposed setup?
I've heard the FMU "bogs" at idle, is there a way to remedy this or do I just live with it?

yo my setup is identical minus the fmu i have dsm 450 injectors i have an 88 std 4 speed 3dr if you can tell me how you mounted the intercooler i cant find a good spot and i bought my adapter plate & downpipe adapter from bmc racing(save yourself the trouble and buy his plates) and i want to buy the mount for the bov from roadraceengineering.com keep me updated(in my mailbox) if you come up with any ideas since we have the same setup
