MS-II V3 on a 4age

MS-II V3 on a 4age
I'm assembling a MS-II V3 and I've come to a point where I am unsure what to do. Step 22 of the megamanual ( http://www.megamanual.com/index.html ) has me a little confused and looking for confirmation. I'm almost sure I don't need to do anything for the IAC because my Toyota 4AGE has no wires going to auxiliary air valve mounted on the throttle body.
The ignition part is where I'm really unsure. I will be using the original Toyota VAST system. There is a coil, but MS is not controlling it, right? The assembly guide says the following:
If you will be using an ignition output signal to control a coil or ignition module with MS-II, you will, likely be directed to jumper JS10 to:
IGN, or IGBTIN, with IGBTOUT jumpered to IGN
(Check the documentation for your ignition set-up!).
If you will be using CAN communication between boards (MS-II and GPIO, for example), you should also jumper JS6 to SPR1/CANH and JS8 to SPR2/CANL
So for MS-II implementation, the following connector signal jumpers are suggested:
CPU Connector Description
JS0 IAC1A Stepper motor signal 1A
JS1 IAC1B Stepper motor signal 1B
JS2 IAC2A Stepper motor signal 2A
JS3 IAC2B Stepper motor signal 2B
JS10 IGN or
IGBTIN (w/ IGBTOUT->IGN) Ignition output
JS6 SPR1/CANH CAN High
JS8 SPR2/CANL CAN Low
I also don't understand what it's saying about CAN.

Re: MS-II V3 on a 4age
Don't worry about the CAN stuff. Pretty sure there is nothing even available that works with it yet. The GPIO board has been talked about for a couple years now, I haven't been over on the board in a little while but I bet it is still just being talked about for the most part.

Yep, 6 months ago bruce promised it would be out in a month or so... This is the same every time with those guys :-)
However, ms2extra can talk to and control other ms2extras through CAN, so it does work. No one is using it though.
Like the man said, don't worry about CAN.
Fred.

Re: MS-II V3 on a 4age
Well that solves the issue with CAN. Anybody know what to do about the ignition?
When it says: "If you will be using an ignition output signal to control a coil or ignition module with MS-II, you will, likely be directed to jumper JS10 to:
IGN, or IGBTIN, with IGBTOUT jumpered to IGN"
Does that mean a system like EDIS or if you want MS to control your ignition system, whatever it may be. If it's the latter then yes, I do want it to control my ignition system.
Anybody?
