Default Methanol/Water injection

Sup nigs? I've been thinking about building a basic Methanol/Water injection system for my setup.. but I was wondering; If it cools the IAT, adds octane, etc. it's obviously going to handle more boost during injection, so if the car is tuned at it's peak setting, say 18 psi for pump gas/street trim.. Would it be necessarily DANGEROUS to tune the cars max output during injection?

for instance, lets say I have it tuned without injection up until 13 psi, at that point the injection kicks on, and one day i'm boosting and the reservoir is dry at 18 psi.. I was thinking, just tune without the injection and then run it for safety, but that wouldn't really yield enough gain to be productive. any input??

also, here's a link for the DIY alcohol injection: http://members.***.net/stevemonroe/AlcoholInjMod.html

That's the problem with using a secondary injection.. keeping tabs on how much you have left. I'd like to see some kind of EBC hooked up to a fuel level switch of some sort so that when meth levels drop beneath a certain level the lower boost level is turned on. Then again this could have already been done and I don't know about it. If not it should be done.

I was thinking about using a floater cap design, like the master cylinders have on the bottom of the cap..
if the fluid level gets too low it sends a signal and lights up a warning light or something

also I've seen the expensive meth kits that regulate how much is spraying with increasing boost, but it said nothing about controlling the boost cut during empty tank.

you know that is true right.. the kid is right. they contain high levels or Denatured alcohol and only about 4% of solvents. is better if you mix it with water tho... i have a home made system on my rx7 but i didn't tune for it, meaning that i'm not using it to run more boost or nothing, just as safety against detonations.

I didn't know washer fluid was 30% methanol.. also was told you don't need to pull from timing when spraying

you don't need to pull timing.. in fact, if you really want to use the system for power you should add timing. the egts drops alot on the car thus allowing you to run more timing to squeeze more power..
