Re: MegaSquirt and Coil packs?
The most bullet proof method would be EDIS with either MS-1 or MS-2. Second best would be running any waste spark coil pack directly from MS. MS-1 will do it for sure with Extra code. Not sure about MS-2. MS-1 with Extra will also run COP in a wasted spark configuration. Also remember it now has a wheel decoder so if your setup has a stock crank sensor it probably can be used without the hassel of installing the 36-1 tooth wheel from the ford setup.

Re: MegaSquirt and Coil packs?
yea, but the advantage of the ford setup is its popularity. Finding all the calculations for dual cam sensors on toyotas and ---- is a bit out of your average enthusiasts reach. There is a section in the msII manual that gives you everything you need to setup the ford system.

Re: MegaSquirt and Coil packs?
You can't use the wheel decoder with EDIS, but you can run wasted spark. I've installed about 5-6 Megasquirts on mates cars now. Not done much tuning of them, but i'm familiar with the hardware options.
